A Ghost Of Himself
About 30 years ago I was seriously ill in St. Vincent's Hospital, Portland, Oregon. I was lying unconscious for several days; but, towards the end of that period of unconsciousness, I woke up suddenly and was completely conscious of myself and my surroundings. I was standing on the floor looking down on my earthly body which was lying in the bed. I heard myself say distinctly, "Well, I guess I have two bodies after all."
After another blank, I woke again to find myself back in my earthly body; and the nurse told me that I had nearly "passed away" the night before. Therefore, I can say that I certainly believe in "ghosts," so-called.
We ourselves are the "ghosts" or spirits; and, we are only wearing our earthly bodies like clothes for the short time we are here.
